Leadership Development
CANVAS is committed to supporting the Jewish arts and culture sector, so it can continue to grow and thrive. We know that supporting this work goes beyond making material grants, which is why we offer capacity- and community-building opportunities to CANVAS grantees year-round, as well as regular programming for sector leaders.
The CANVAS Leadership Program features:
- Monthly workshops for grantee leaders
- Monthly office hours for shared learning, problem-solving, and opportunities for partnership
- 1:1 Executive Mentorship
- Quarterly fieldwide workshops and gatherings designed to strengthen the ecosystem
The CANVAS Leadership Program is dedicated to ensuring the sustainable future of the field by nurturing a knowledge-based, cooperative partnership among its leaders. The program is an optional series of capacity building–focused programming, one-on-one mentoring sessions, access to resources and tools, and in-person gatherings. It is available to all senior staff and Board leadership of current CANVAS grantees.
CANVAS’s Leadership Program Goals:
- To support a stronger, more sustainable cohort of leaders in the Jewish arts and culture sector
- To build management and capacity-building fluency and confidence among sector leaders.
- To encourage tighter connections through collaborative programming and problem-solving.
- To nurture a powerful and newly energized sector driving Jewish learning, engagement, and cross-cultural connections.
